EDG-8.55
EDG-8.55 crawler dragline is designed on the basis of EKG-12 series crawler shovel. It is intended for stripping in mining industry with availability of loading mineral products to transport facilities and in construction of large industrial projects.
The structural features of this model are as follows: boom and tower of lattice structure made of high-quality steel; triple - tapered bucket; boom-raising mechanism; motion drive with continues operation mode. The dragline differs with high mobility during moving. EDG-8.55 provides high unification with EKG-12 base model. The main mechanisms have direct drive from d.c. motors fed by "generator-motor" system, static converters controlled on the basis of semiconductor elements and operational amplifiers.
